Field guide

How to use the library.

Twelve numbered books on three shelves, a programme of numbered episodes, and the objects they produce. This guide shows how the house is organised so you can find your own way in.

No account. No email. No question you have to answer first.

Part I

Three shelves, three rules.

TE accession numbers are permanent and never reassigned. They define the True Eira house canon; any future Amazon series migration must preserve this order without implying that the current legacy listings already do.

Shelf I

The Medicines

What each medicine is, where it comes from, and what the research and traditions record.

05 titles
Shelf II

The Practice

What a person does: preparation, recovery, reflection, and integration.

05 titles
Shelf III

The Field

Natural history, source records, research readers, and the photographic archive.

02 titles

Part II

How to read a record.

Every title carries the same four facts. Read them before the book, and you know what the house claims and where it stops.

Ibogaine the Healing Root cover
TE–01 · the worked example
  1. Accession number

TE–01. Permanent, never reassigned. It says where the title sits in the canon, not when it was written.

  2. Shelf

Shelf I · The Medicines. The shelf tells you the kind of question the book answers.

  3. State

Digital edition · $15.00. A record is either a digital edition you can open today, a print edition in the wider world, or in production. Nothing is listed as available before it is.

  4. The claim

A title is bibliographic. Displaying a record is not endorsing what is printed on it, and no record here is medical, mental-health, or legal advice.

The house rule

Read the record, not a promise.

Bold on the subject, exact on the claims. Every claim on this site traces to a named study or a regulatory action, linked, and nothing is promised to any one reader.

Part III

Where the claims come from.

10 citations across 4 subjects, link-checked 2026-07-27.

Psilocybin

Twice named a Breakthrough Therapy by the FDA. In a head-to-head trial it matched a leading antidepressant and doubled its remission rate.

4 sources

Trauma & PTSD

The most advanced psychedelic trauma treatment cleared Phase 3.

1 source

Ibogaine

One session has interrupted opioid dependence where everything else failed — and the newest research shows it repairing trauma in veterans.

2 sources

Microdosing

The largest studies of people who actually microdose tell one story: less depression, less anxiety, less stress.

Part IV

Choose a path.

A path organises the library by intent — topic, pace, and format. It is not advice and it asks nothing of you.

  1. Start with the ground

Begin with the broadest title on Shelf I and read the record before the book.I want the shape of the subject before anything else.

  2. Follow one question

Use the series and topic records to cut the catalog down. A narrower shelf is a better answer.I already have a specific question and want the narrow shelf.

  3. Read for reflection

Choose by pace and format. The current Teneo episode is written to be read in one sitting.I want to sit with something rather than research it.

Walk a path

Part V

Teneo, the programme.

Numbered episodes between the books. One subject each, in whatever medium it asks for, always readable on paper.

The specimen. Gill macro from the archive, the frame Plate No. 01 was drawn from.

The Proper Method

A specimen photographed in the archive becomes a plate drawn in one ink. The essay follows that translation and asks what survives it, and why the first Field Objects are line work rather than photographs.

What this guide is not

A guide to the library, not to you.

The Field Guide organises what the house has published. It does not assess you, and it produces nothing about dosage, treatment, safety, suitability, or legality in your jurisdiction.

  • It never asks for your email or an account to be read in full.
  • It links only to records, sources, and episodes that already exist.
  • It is printable, and prints without losing anything.
